On Monday 28, Essex Lib Dem Police Commissioner Candidate Callum Robertson joined Brentwood Lib Dems where he spoke about his plans for linking in his Police campaign with the local campaigns being run by the brilliant local councillors in Brentwood.

He spoke about how we should be combating Nitrus Oxide (also known as laughing gas) saying:

"We should be wanting to legalise and regulate this drug rather than banning it, as seen in the USA with cannabis, we know that legalisation allows for control of the supply and ultimately leads to fewer drug deaths"

He also raised the need for us to win more District and County Councillors in May 2021 saying:

"When we win at any level, it helps us all and more importantly helps the public by offering them a liberal alternative to the Conservative status quo. It is crucial we win control of Brentwood Council in May because it will allow the Lib Dem group to protect public services in a way the conservatives have simply failed to do. I will be supporting the Brentwood team 100% in the runup to the May elections in our shared goal to win the Council."
