What do Lib Dems believe?

January 1, 2021 1:40 PM

While sometimes it's difficult to know what you're actually going to get when you cast your vote, especially with independents many of whom were previously members of the discredited Conservative administration, when you vote for a Lib Dem candidate this is what you're going to get.

We are here to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society. We want to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity. In other words, we care about others and value freedoms (which is why we don't much like Brexit, because we lost the right to freely live and travel to 27 other countries amongst a lot of other things). That's all well and good we hear you say, but what does that actually mean for your local area? It means we make sure there's noone sleeping rough in Chelmsford (where we have a Lib Dem run council), we help residents choose cheaper and greener energy and commit to fairer and greener purchasing when we're in power.

Those are just three examples from our nearest neighbours in Chelmsford and their Lib Dem council - just imagine how nice it would be to hear Maldon District Council making a difference with us in charge. If you think this sounds like you, join the Lib Dems and get involved. You really can make a difference.
