I have lived locally for 35 years and I've owned a business in Maldon High Street for same length of time. Before that, worked in regional media.
I was one of the original members of the SDP. As a devout European, I joined the Lib Dems in 2019 initially because they supported the pro-EU cause, but have remained because of their policies on the environment and climate change.
I firmly believe that there also needs to be effective opposition to the Tory stronghold in the area.
